The forming of the West African Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (WASPEN) has been a noteworthy accomplishment, with continued progress on its impact on pharmacy practice in Nigeria. As cited in the March 2019 issue of the WASPEN newsletter, the board of trustees’ election was held, with the current 15 officiated members of WASPEN in attendance. The election of a board of trustees was officiated to oversee the overall affairs of WASPEN as a collective group.
The following positions for election included: President/Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Treasurer. Listed in Table 1.1 are the members of WASPEN that were elected to the respective positions. Dr. Teresa Pounds, fundamental founder of WASPEN, was in attendance of this election of trusteeship meeting.
